Tapona’s Co-Venture Lab: A Vision of Business Growth and Prosperity

The Co-Venture Lab program is a life transforming program from Tapona which is designed to bring out the best in business by building innovative and scalable businesses. It is intended to provide the tools, networks and other resources to ensure that success in business is not accidental but a step by step unfolding process of growth.

The program mainly focuses on creating an awareness of modern methods and possibilities that ventures can utilize to grow their businesses and impact their communities. The vision is to have a series of business leaders who are visionaries and have an inclusive approach that not only focuses on their individual growth but also creates a series of continuous success for their communities.

The selection process is two-fold;

1. We run a founder search based on our industry focus, agribusiness, climate solutions and circular economy based on our industry focus, agribusiness, climate solutions and circular economy.
2. We work with collective or cooperative owned businesses in the industry that directly produce and sell their products or services, with a shared ownership structure, where profits are shared with members who directly support the business by producing raw materials or other products for the business and impact communities. 

So what are the benefits of enrolling for the program?

The Curriculum

The learning is customized to the needs of the venture and the expertise of the mentors . We work through the Co-Venture curriculum, focused on building real world business skills for growth and scale. We apply best practices and draw best industry experts to deliver learning modules from market validation and branding to finance and governance.

Mentorship

We match up with experts in collective ventures and coop communities to provide founders with individualized strategic guidance and support session to help achieve business growth goals.

Value-aligned investment.

All co-ventures will have access to $5,000 in opt-in investment (in the form of convertible note or other seed funding options) that is used to fund the need of the business, with option for add-on investment. This is not a direct investment from Tapona but, we have established Tapona capital partners to connect and engage investors and ventures in the Tapona community.

Talent and Network services

We secure discounted access to top business management tools and services e.g., legal, accounting, marketing tools, and more, saving you time and money during your critical launch and growth phase. Ventures looking for talent can post their opening jobs on the platform, participate in Tapona networking events, and make connections with others in the community.

Peer support and Community.

Over the course of the program, Entrepreneurs benefit from the experience of their peers. They can join the board of one another, engage in problem- solving sessions on key issues of their peer’s business and hold group discussions to support each other in the network.
