Entrepreneur Spotlight- La Moda Accessories

Growing up in Kenya gave Eunice a deeper appreciation of the uniqueness of African prints. She soon realised that to build on her expertise, she could develop a range of stylish prints and designs. This ignited her passion and motivation to open LaModa Accessories located in Mlolongo, Machakos county that stocks stylish women African print pencil skirts, trousers, shorts and even handbags.

Her unique signature is lovingly handmade Ankara designs which are created from small runs of each print. Every item is individually hand-cut, so the print placement varies, ensuring no two items are ever the same!

The zeal

To continuously build and develop her business she enrolled for Tapona Accelerator Program which is a hands-on business development and growth program designed to provide early-stage growth social enterprises with access to knowledge, networks, and capital they need to grow their businesses and their impact.

The accelerator program has been an eye-opener to her as she has gained entrepreneurial and leadership skills to keep building her brand not to forget to mention how financial literacy sessions have given her great insights to handle and manage her finances.

The program has also helped her get access to mentors who provide guidance and enhance knowledge to her business world.

“It was a light-bulb moment after enrolling for Tapona Accelerator program where I gained entrepreneurial skills which have tremendously changed how I operate my business and interact with my customers.”- Eunice, Founder LaModa Accessories
