These are the insights that John Kinyua the owner of Ipad Tech Computer shared with us as he welcomes us to his office in Gilgil Town.

Ipad Tech Computers is a wireless broadband internet solutions provider in Nakuru and its environs. The company offers internet services for both residents and businesses at different speeds depending on the client’s needs.

“We also offer maintenance services after installation to ensure the connection is smooth and reliable 24 hours a day. In case of any issue, we are able to troubleshoot and quickly remedy the situation to keep the service running and this is what sets us apart”, Says John owner of Ipad Tech Computers

The Impact

What motivated John to start this particular venture is when he realized there was a need for a reliable internet connection in his area and he wanted to be a solution provided.

‘I saw just how difficult it was for people in my town to access affordable and reliable internet. Some people work remotely from home and the cost of purchasing bundles was too high for most of them. The speeds were also slow. A solution was needed” says John

This business venture has so far has been able to provide an affordable alternative for the people looking for fast internet.

The Drive

John felt the need to expand and grow his business, and when he found out about Tapona’s Accelerator program he saw it as the crucial next step for his entrepreneurial journey.

He decided to take part in the four-month training program at Tapona Foundation to enhance his business skills as an entrepreneur to effectively run his enterprise.

“I also saw the need to give back to society and make a positive change in my community, something that is also close to my heart. The program would help me accomplish that.” Says John

He mentioned that since he joined the Accelerator program, he has learned the principles and effective ways to manage his business which has boosted his service delivery to his customers.

The program has also enabled him to be ready for investment and how to network so as to reach out to different investors.

“I plan on using the lessons and skills that I’ve acquired to establish iPad Tech Computers as a major player in the industry by expanding our operations and offering employment opportunities for the youth.” Says John
